Jem and the holograms

I don't know if I've told you but I'm a huge fan of Jem and the holograms so when I found out that they had released the tv-series on DVD I just had to have it. I'm even making my very own Jem cosplay. And not just that, the producers from the G.I Joe are making a movie about Jem, I feel that this is my year!

Between

Hi guys, I've been working on my wig all day so I don't have anything special to report just yet, so I'll share my thoughts about this book with ya.
I bought this book at English shop and read it like a week ago. When I read about it on the back I asumed it was a mermaid story, alas it wasn't. This was probably the most depressing book I've read in a while.

**** Spoiler, alert don't keep reading if you want to read this book. *****

The book's about this rich girl who dies at the night of her 18th birthday on a boat her family owns. And how she lost her memory as she died (she didn't get to move on and go to heaven) and she had to hang around her family and boyfriend as a ghost/spirit and wait for the flashbacks of who she was and what happend to her so she can figure out what her unresolved issues were and how to move on. This books is a typical american high school drama kind of book frome the popular rich kids point of view.
I wouldn't say it was a waste of money, the drama kept coming so I wasn't bored, along with a hint of detective-sherlock moments.
I'd give this book 2 outta' 5 bookmarks!

Miss Peregrine's home for peculiar children

I just finished this book today. We had one of those very calm and quiet days at work today and yesterday so I read this book on and off and I finished it a few hours ago.
My thoughts: It's a very unique book, It contains a lot of vintage photos, so if you're a photagrapher and interested in black and white old pictures I think you might like this one. It contains some really old photo tricks and early on 'photoshop'. I wouldn't say it's a childrens book but it's also something in between that and young adults novel and the characters are magical and pretty similar to x-men with the institute of magical/unique children. It also contains some timetravel and that's pretty much all I can give you without spoiling the book for the one who actually wants to read it.
I wouldn't say it was the best book I've read but it wasn't a bad book either.
It's something like 2.5 - 3 toasters out of 5.
What I liked most about the book was actually the images for all my photographer readers out there, borrow this book or buy it, just so you can take a look at the images.

World war Z (the book)

I had an inner conflict this morning about whether I should post and share my hate for this book or not. I want my blog to be inspiring and if I have any critissism to give it should atleast be constructive. But I can't find anything nice to say about this book.
When I first bought it I thought it were going to be like this pre and post story about the zombie world war but HA, nope!
If you like a ton of short stories than maybe this book is something for you. and when I say a ton I don't exaggerate. This book is full with short stories ONLY. Every story is about 3-6 pages long and every new story is a new persons perspective on how the war started and how he/she survived it or how they experienced it. It's not even like a small story it's more of a book full with articles and interviews with diffrent people since it's from both a reporters perspective and the characters. And all the characters are blaming eachother.
I've been trying to read this book for maybe a couple of months now, (I lost track since it was so boring to read) and I normally treat my books with care and treasure them since I love books but this one have been with me practically  everywhere, and it have been in my bag for the longest time enduring all kind of things like lunchboxes, keys, waterbottles and god knows what I've been having in my bag the past month or two. I've taken it with me everywhere just so when I find some spare time I can finish it to just so I can get it over with so I can put it up on my bookshelf and let it cover up with dust.

If you like books like this, I'm sure you'll like it but I won't be picking this book up ever again.
Between this one and the movie I definitely prefer the movie even though it isn't really a "zombie" movie by my definition.

Little Bee

I had a fairly good morning today, I woke up at 10 am by myself feeling completely rested, I made myself some breakfast and just sat in my kitchen taking some time to myself. I gotta' go to work in a few minutes but since I don't have to be at work until 3pm I had a few hours this morning to just sit and read, so I read this book. I don't know what to say about it though, it's okay I guess. It's not really the type of book I usually like to read since I want my books to be an escape from reality but I decided to step out of my comfort zone for once.
Little Bee is about this refugee girl from Nigeria and how she ended up in England. And that's pretty much all I can tell you without spoiling it for you. If you want something to read and like these kind of subjects it's worth reading.
I'll update you about some more stuff when I get home from work.
Cheerio~

Still sick

Hi guys, I have severe stomach pain and have had these last week so I've been in bed doing absolutely nothing. Well technically I haven't been doing nothing since I've been watching a bunch of movies and sleeping but that's pretty much it. Man I love being a woman.
Any who, just before that I went shopping and bought me something to read.
I haven't heard much about them but I hope they're good :)

World war z

Hi guys! A few days ago I wanted to see world war z but I've been looking at the book in the store for quite some time now, wondering if I should buy it or not. So a few weeks ago I decided to read it before I see the movie (like I always do). I haven't had the time yet to do so even though I bought it like 2 weeks ago. Things just keeps popping up, like work or other things. But now I have a few days off from work so I'm going to take my time reading it. I'm a few chapters in and I like it. Like most books you really have to focus in the beginning otherwise you'll miss out on who's who and what's going on and all the important details.
You can find it here or here

Beautiful Creatures series

I've just finished the quadrilogy of the Beautiful Creatures series.
Beautiful Creatures, Beautiful Darkness, Beautiful Chaos & Beautiful Redemption.
Each book's about 400 pages, 1600 in total about this Gatlin boy and his caster (caster = witch) girlfriend.
My thoughts and feelings about the books: loooooong.
I'm sorry but they are. Sometimes it felt like the authors just had a goal: to write 400 pages, and they didn't care so much about the content in itself.
I'm not saying the books are bad, they had some fun parts and some action and drama. Giving some kind of fresh breeze in this vampire wolf zombie hysteria going on.
But I don't think I will be reading them again.
I'm sorry to say but it felt like a witch/caster version of Twilight. Except that it wasn't much of a triangle drama in it. Just a bunch of narrow-minded brainwashed christians in a small town blaming every thing on the towns outcast (which in this case was the witch girl and her uncle + their family).
There's a lot of dark magic, fortunetelling & voodoo both light and dark going on in the book and I'm sure the movies are going to be blockbusters. The movie Beautiful Creatures is a lot different from the book, they left out an important character (the librarian) which I hope they will find an actor for, if not they're going to have a hell of a time putting this story together. And not to mention they changed one of the characters "design/looks".
Ridley is suppose to be this blond (with a lot of pink going on) vulgar siren sucking on lollipops. But I guess they wouldn't want to make the movies too pornographic.
And please, don't buy a paperback book that's thick as a brick, I swear to god you're going to bend and break it. If you're like me and are super careful not to fold any edges or scratch it, don't buy a paperback they'll break your heart for sure. I know they're super comfortable to hold and all that jazz but the cover just started to let go of the binding. It looked like a sticker letting go of the surface after being too worn out.
Do I recommend this book?
Yes and no. If you like love stories then yes, because this is what it's pretty much all about.
I've read so many books over the years so I find most books predictable, this one was no different.
The books aren't that expensive so why not give them a shot if you're bored to bits, but they're not life changing books like some I've encountered.
I'd give them a 2.5 out of 5.

Bokrea (Book sale)

Did I mention I love books?

Hunger Games 2: Catching Fire

New released posters~

*************************~SPOILER, DON'T READ~*************************

Me and my friend discussed the photos and how we felt like they had retouched them too much. But then again, the wedding is a publicity trick to get president Snow off their backs since he's not all to happy about Katniss little trick with the poisonous berries, making them two winners instead of one. The wedding is super hyped by the capitol and thus the dresses and of course the white roses.
A big thanks to Erica for the pictures

Warm Bodies

namtaB = Batman

So as a few of my followers on instagram noticed, the pictures I took were mirrored (?) so Batman = namtaB!
Anywho, I went to the sci-fi book store in 'gamla stan' with my wingman Erica and I just couldn't resist buying this comic~

And I just realised that this is the first decent picture of me on this blog, enjoy~

Fronts
