London here I come (again)

Hi guys, so we finally booked our hotel and flight to London for this year. I think it's our 3rd time to London.
I'm super excited and can hardly wait. I think my dear mother are as excited as I am since we're going to celebrate her 50th birthday in London.
And oh, PRIMARK!!! I'm going to go beserk at primark I swear.
We're also planning on going back to the Harry Potter studios at leavesden as well on my moms big day just so she can open the doors! :D
This time we booked an apartment with a kitchen so we can cook our own breakfast and lunch/dinner so we don't have to depend on resturants all the time. No offense London hotels but most of your breakfast sucks big time and not to mention the lack of vegetarian food at most restaurants. I'm not much of a breakfast person with the dry bread, I prefer real food. Gimme' some pasta or pancakes with some fresh fruit. Nom!
Anyway, the hotel I so happend to find, wasn't too far off where we have stayed before. (we like to have like a walking distance to Hyde park, just because I'm so overly excited about their squirrels and love spending time feeding them. My parents have to almost drag me home from the park) and not to mention it's just a few busstops away from the shopping! :D8
Last year was horrible, It was too warm and I didn't pack a pair of comfortable shoes to walk in so we didn't do anything special except that we went frome one store to another just to buy water and hide in some cold stores. I'm not much of a warm weather kind of person, I much rather prefer some rain and wind.
Last year we were close to Notting Hill and when we came back to our hotel and turned on the TV guess what movie was on? Notting Hill ofc!

Anyway here's where we'll be staying this year! And I'll bring my laptop so I can hopefully blog while I'm there! :D

Mischief NY

Hi guys I'm sorry for my absence... again. I've been working, and today my friend Erica came over to look at some hotels.
We're seriously thinking of going to NY by march so we had to do some planing and look at hotels and really discuss what we need to do before we leave.

Getting ready to leave for the airport

Hi guys!
I'm excited since we're leaving for London in a minute or two!
I had to go up early today even though I could sleep in, it's because I had to go to the health center and take some blood tests.
I've prepared some blog entries for you guys with some things I've bought recently and I hope they aren't too boring, I'll make it up to you when I get home and I'll upload a ton of pictures and videos. I'm not going to be able to blog in London, or atleast I don't think so! I might upload some pictures on my instagram if I can ninja someones wifi, maybe at starbucks like last time?
Cheerio!

Best way to save money for vacations

If you're like me and having problem saving money for your vacation, a good tip is to exchange some money now and then and put it in a piggy bank of some sort. That way you can't spend it in your own country ;)
It's quite fun! ~
I bought this box-bag at H&M

London guide for swedes

Hi guys so I wanted to write a review on my stay in London, and my trip to leavesden studios for the Harry Potter exhibition!

What to think of before you go!
Something I didn't know about; the electric outlets looks different depending on where you go. Our swedish ones look totally different compared to the ones in England. So if you're bringing a computer or your phone and need to charge it, you need to get yourself an electric plug converter.
I bought mine at Arlanda airport, Swedish - English they look something like this and cost about 200SEK

If you're like me and rely on your phone and use it for practically everything. Alarm clock, maps, calculator, notes & internet you're fucked without one of these!

Getting around in London using public transportation
If you stay at a hotel that's pretty central, use the busses. I'm not kidding you, the undergrounds are terrifying during rush hours. There's so much people I swear you're going to lose your friends or family. It felt like this scene from Harry Potter, you really had to stand against the wall to let the people pass you.

I live in Stockholm so I know about rush hours, but this is ridiculous and terrifying at the same time.

A tip is to download a .pdf to your phone with the underground map. I have this app called iBooks and I've got both swedish and english underground maps in it. I like it, it makes you feel less like tourist since you're not walking around with that typical paper map ;)

Get yourself a oyster card! It works just like our SL-cards! If you've been to Stockholm and traveled by subways, it works just the same way. You put the card on this electric plate just like our Swedish ones.
I swear, if you're familiar with the trains in Stockholm, you'll feel right at home in London, looks the same, works the same.
There's one thing to keep in mind though, when you're leaving the station, make sure to have your oyster card ready! You need to put it on this electrical plate to get out too. It works the same way, it's just that you have to use the card as some sort of key to get in AND out!

What's the price of this so called oyster card? It depends on how long you'll be staying and in which zones you'll be traveling within.
I never went and didn't plan to travel outside zone 2 and I wanted the oyster card to last a week (since that's how long we stayed), so for me it cost about £34 , that's about 374SEK, totally worth it. We managed to see pretty much everything we ever wanted to see because of this card. We went EVERYWHERE.
And trust me, I loved being on the bus, it was so much fun. And the busses come like every five minutes or less, unlike our busses. Sweden you have something to learn from English traffic.

My recommendations:
Primark!
If you want cheap and modern clothes go to Primark, I'm not kidding.
It's cheaper and way more interesting than H&M's clothes. And I'm totally going back there this spring just to buy me a new wardrobe!
I'll show you my loot in another post!

I'll be making another post just about the Harry Potter exhibition so stay tuned!

London squirrels

Not a fuck was given

Kudos till bror min som tog bilderna~

England

Tills vidare
